Bradley Wiggins, what a hero. I really don’t think enough is being made of his massive achievement of being the first Brit to win what is probably the world’s hardest sporting event, the Tour de France.
In a sport dominated traditionally by everyone but us, having Brits finish first and second with a third crowned the event’s sprint champion is nothing short of phenomenal.
It’s like having two British tennis players in the men’s final of Wimbledon and a third winning the ladies’ final. It really is what dreams are made of.
Now I hope to see more people wearing Lycra on race bikes, as you do in Europe.
I also hope to hear ‘Arise Sir Bradley’ very soon. He deserves nothing less.
