I was delighted that Leo got a Golden Globe for comedy

CHERYL GIBBS: Not a great film, but I still balled my eyes out

Have your say

It’s been Golden Globe time in Hollywood and it was a memorable event – for the Americans.

Unfortunately us Brits didn’t do as well as had been hoped, with Downton Abbey losing out to US drama Breaking Bad for Best TV Show.

It was a real shame given the huge hype and support surrounding Downton.

I was delighted though for Leonardo DiCaprio, who won a Best Actor gong for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street which, if the trailer is anything to go by, looks well-deserved (it comes out today).

I loved his acceptance speech where he thanked director Martin Scorsese.

Although the big winner of the night was 12 Years A Slave, I thought it was intriguing for method actor Leo to be honoured for a comedic performance.
