I’m not sure what I would do if I tried to help a pregnant lady out of a car wreck and she told me to catch her baby.
Hopefully I’d prove to have a safer pair of hands than Manuel Neuer and be able not only to catch the child but also keep hold of it.
This terrifying prospect has sprung to mind after reading a story about a woman in Scotland who went into labour while driving to hospital in heavy fog, crashed her car into a roundabout, and had to say ‘catch my baby’ to the first person who tried to help her.
It seems as soon as this lady got herself into what one can only presume to be a backstop crouch, the baby arrived.
Apparently both mother and baby are doing well. What a relief.
