ZELLA COMPTON: A 21st century curse – how does a family manage the TV recorder?

Have your say

Bridesmaids, starring Kristen Wiig, Terry Crews and Jessica St. Clair, has been hailed as one of the movies of the summer.

But obviously not many of us are taking notice as, when I went to see it over the weekend, there were only about 10 of us in the Apollo cinema in Fareham.

Where was everybody? Maybe other cinemas are packed out with punters.

Or it could be that people who’ve been to the Apollo before have realised that the movie you’re watching has to contend with what’s being shown next door.

I don’t know if it was the Green Lantern or Pirates of the Caribbean, but whatever it was the thunderous score was present throughout most of the dialogue of Bridesmaids (which was very good by the way).
