Have your say

At this time of year it’s easy to have a few alcoholic drinks at lunch time, or at a barbecue with family and friends, and then think that you will be alright to drive.

To be fair, how many of us have thought ‘I’ve eaten and only had a couple it will be fine’?

Sometimes you might be tempted, especially if you’ve just had a big meal and then left it for a few hours before getting behind the wheel of your car.

The presumption is that you will be alright.

But you never really know.

We’ve seen various celebrities falling into the trap and being charged with drink-driving in recent years.

I actually don’t drink at all if I’ve got to drive anywhere – I’d be absolutely lost without a car.
