It would be nice if, just once, I could be a lottery winner

CHERYL GIBBS: Not a great film, but I still balled my eyes out

Have your say

The Euromillions people are looking for 12 winners who don’t realise they’re millionaires.

They have won £1m each, which is a hugely life-changing amount, but just don’t seem to realise.

When I see these appeals for people to come forward and claim their cash I always, without fail, search back through my memory to see if one of them could maybe, possibly, have been me.

I don’t play the lottery every week, you see, so there is a chance I could have won and not realised.

But search as I might, time after time, I fail to find any pink lottery ticket for the date in questions, lucky or not.

I have, again, missed out this time. But if you bought a ticket on July 26 you’ve got until January to claim your winnings. It could be you!
