We often hear about the amazing bond between animals and their owners. Well last week I decided to put this bond to the test on my own family dog Daisy, a two-year-old Patterdale terrier.
I pretended to collapse in front of Daisy and then went completely silent. She initially ran over to me and licked my hair and one of my ears.
She then decided she felt hungry and went downstairs to have some biscuits.
I maintained my position and felt confident she would show her concern for my welfare. Sure enough she came running back and this time she sniffed my bare feet and started licking my toes.
After doing his she went downstairs and put herself to bed. Sadly Daisy proved to be a useless rescue dog.
