June, thanks for keeping me a scrapbook for the future

Children adore being spoilt by their grandparents, but is it too much?

I need to apologise. My auntie’s mother, June, has been keeping a portfolio of all my columns every week for the last, what has it been now, almost three years?

As usual, she read my column last Friday where I thanked Mummy Burt for being a regular reader.

June looked up and said: ‘I read her columns every week and keep a scrapbook for her for the future,’

That is so sweet and I don’t think I’ve ever officially thanked her for it.

So here it is June.

‘I love you so much and thank you for being my No 1 fan. Despite my oversight, I have never taken it for granted!’

One day, I’m sure I’ll have the pleasure of looking back through that scrapbook and cringing at some of the things I wrote about!
