Kit looks like Germany’s - and I wish we played like them too

Children adore being spoilt by their grandparents, but is it too much?

Pompey and England have revealed their new kits for next season. Both have new kit suppliers, with England dumping poor old Umbro for Nike.

The new kit looks very plain – all white with a navy blue band around the collar.

Simplistic is the word, unlike England’s 1982 World Cup kit from Admiral which had red and blue shoulder bands that Joan Collins would be proud of!

But I like the new national kit. We now join the big boys in terms of kit manufacture.

However, it’s been pointed out how similar it looks to Germany’s 1966 kit.

If only we could play as good as the Germans, eh? They are my tip for the World Cup next year.

We’ll be glad to qualify.
