Have your say

I expect that I, like many people, will be celebrating the first few days of January with a recommitment to dieting and a vow to do more exercise.

It’s one of those boring things we have to do after a few too many Christmas lunches and advent calendar chocs, not to mention the odd glass of wine and fizz to celebrate the passing of another year.

And why shouldn’t we indulge?

To my mind, there’s absolutely no need to feel guilty about it

We work hard, pay our bills, ensure the roofs over our heads are watertight for our families.

So when the opportunity arises to let our hair down, I see no reason not to – as long as we’re all safe and legal while doing it.
