It’s Halloween in a few days’ time, the one commercialised thing imported from America that I’m pleased about.
The celebration of Halloween seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year. It’s certainly regarded as a big deal by members of the Smith household.
The place gets decorated, the pumpkins are carved and the sweets are bought for the ‘trick or treaters’ who arrive at the front door every year.
In fact it’s such a big deal to us that my eldest daughter told me she now likes Halloweven more than Christmas!
Hmmm. I wonder how she’d react if all she unwrapped on the morning of December 25 was a Halloween mask and costume?
She might not appreciate it, but I know that my wallet would feel a lot better.
