Another story that caught my eye this week was the discovery of a suspected Egyptian mummy in an attic in Germany (it still needs verification). The find was made by a young boy (that’ll haunt his nightmares for years I suspect).
What is interesting about this story is that the house had been in the family for some time.
How do you forget that you have an Egyptian mummy – real or fake – stuffed in the attic?
In all fairness, sometimes I find camping equipment in my attic which I’d forgotten I’d bought the year before, or some material for dress-making, but a full-sized mummified body?
That’s either a really big attic, or a really big and dirty secret. The quintessential skeleton in the cupboard.
