My French learning is being ruined by neighbour’s dog

Have your say

My aim to learn French is being scuppered by my neighbour’s dog. After passing my bus driving test (so I can drive the first BRT bus), learning another language is my next challenge.

For my birthday, Sarah bought me Rosetta Stone. You may have seen the TV ads with the girl in a coffee shop wearing headphones and a microphone, repeating the prompts.

I was doing really well, sat in the conservatory with an espresso. But then the dog gets let into the garden.

As I try to repeat ‘la fille est en train de boire’, he barks. The microphone then picks that up and I get it wrong.

I’m getting so many wrong, the computer won’t let me pass the first level.
