My new TV presenting role is all about the story of a bus

RICK JACKSON: Why aren’t we on the streets protesting about Brexit?

Have your say

A friend of mine, who runs his own media company, thinks that I’d make a good TV presenter.

I totally disagree. I love being behind the microphone, out of sight. But he maintains that with my enthusiasm and knowledge, a show would get cult status.

So what on earth does he think I could do? Host a series on buses for one of the Discovery channels, he said.

So I’m now in the process of writing a pilot, telling the fascinating story behind a specific bus.

One of these buses exists in Portsmouth. Honestly, the things this bus must have seen over the years.

I bet it could tell a good story. Well, that will be my job, to do it on the bus’s behalf.
