No shoulder-nibbling simply great sportsmanship at SW19

Have your say

While I’ve been away I’ve had a news blackout, one which includes the World Cup. The only television I’ve seen was a bit of Djokovic’s match against Radek Stepanek at Wimbledon.

It was a fantastic match, not just because Stepanek wouldn’t roll over and let Djokovic, the world number one, win easily.

No, for me the best thing was when one of Stepanek’s returns was called out, he challenged the decision and not only did Djokovic’s point get taken back, he volunteered to award it to Stepanek.

Djokovic was always going to win, but it was great sportsmanship which you don’t often get in any arena, never mind the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. More please.
