At long last, it’s spring. It has really been in the air this week and the lovely weekend just gone brought with it the optimism of long, warm summer days ahead.
Last year winter held on until April with freezing conditions, but this winter has been mild (although very wet and windy).
What we don’t need now after a taste of spring is a cold snap – snow is still not out of the question.
Then again, not everybody has been overjoyed by the recent glorious conditions.
A listener complained as I talked about the lovely weather on the radio. He’d been out with his wife for a country walk, had burned his nose and had to put up with his wife complaining it was too hot!
