I’ve spoken a lot about inspiring people this week, and I’m about to continue.
Saturday sees the fourth Portsmouth Opportunities Fair at the Guildhall at which big and small businesses from the area work together to show young people the range of careers, opportunities and work on offer. It’s their job to show the children – and their parents – that they can do or be anything they want.
They will tell people how to get into their field, what they need to do at school and even if there are non-academic ways to achieve their dream.
There is loads of fun stuff to do, like pedalling a bike to make a smoothie or having a go at IBM’s brain-powered car.
It opens up a whole world of possibility, it’s free of charge and it opens at 10am.
