Pippa Middleton has come in for a bit of stick about poor sales of her book, Celebrate.
I actually feel a bit sorry for her.
After all, it was her publisher who offered her the phenomenal advance, then edited and marketed the party book.
Surely, someone along the way would have guided her with her content (as in, most people know how to play Pass the Parcel etc).
Yes, the celebrities involved in these book deals are supposed to shift copies through their name.
But at the end of the day, it is the publishers who should know their trade.
They need to publish books by experts in their field, not just by someone with a famous sister and a good bottom.
