Thai festival was hot stuff but why the admission fee?

Who else went to last weekend’s festivities at Southsea?

I went to both the Thai festival on Saturday and the bandstand on Sunday.

What a lovely weekend it was for both events.

I felt the Thai festival was good in terms of it celebrating a particular culture and, as you know, I am obsessed with Asian food so I loved that.

But I really don’t think they should have charged for it.

Yes, it was only £3 to get in, but I couldn’t quite understand what we were paying for when we were spending money inside on crafts, food and drink.

The bandstand on Sunday was excellent and the band at the end – Rhythm of the 90s, a Brighton-based dance covers band – were particularly good.
