Blue Day last Friday was yet another outstanding success and I’d like to say a personal thank-you to each and every one of the thousands of readers who took part in our annual fundraising spectacular in aid of the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

It might have been the sixth such event since we first launched Blue Day in 2008, but the enthusiasm of all those taking part hasn’t dimmed at all.

It really is a joy to see so many people, young and old, wearing Pompey blue and paying for the privilege of doing so, and holding sponsored events to raise cash for a great local charity.

Quite how much we’ve raised together has yet to be tallied up – we’ll report the figure as soon as we can. If you raised money, take cheques or cash (bagged up) raised to any Lloyds TSB branch.

Tell them the name of your organisation and that the money is for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

You can also donate directly via Paypal by visiting tomprince.co.uk.
