That’s it, I can stop boring everyone now.
This time next week I will be hobbling up the steps into work, trying not to eat everyone else’s food and generally wincing every time I stand up or sit down.
For I will have done the Great South Run, and the money I have raised will be on its way to Canine Partners For Independence.
What I wanted to do in this column was to thank everybody who helped me reach and exceed my fundraising goal of £300. With so many people running the GSR and so many other causes to support, any help people could give was always going to be a bonus.
It has been a tough road to get to the start line, if you’ll pardon the pun, but I’m fit and well and ready to run 10 miles for charity.
