Have your say

We seem to have become a nation of coffee snobs in a very short space of time.

The Italians, French and Spanish have been enjoying full-flavoured espressos for years, whilst we made do with Mellow Bird’s. Yuck!

But the coffee revolution is now here. I now judge the standard of a restaurant not only by the food, but by the quality of its coffee.

At home I have an espresso maker which I use daily, a filter machine and coffee percolator. I see it as an insult when I visit friends and am offered instant coffee.

Thanks to shows like Friends, sipping decent coffee in a shop is now cool.

And it’s big business. I mean, how much does a £2.50 latte really cost to make?
