The saying ‘crying into your pint’ has never been so apt

Have your say

During a recent visit to my local pub, I was informed by the barman that the lager would soon be going up by about another 20p or so a pint.

Another price rise! Coming so soon after we’ve just had one in the new year, no wonder pubs are closing all around us.

With lager now costing around £3.50 a pint, surely it can’t be a surprise that people are stopping going out to pubs and are instead opting for cheaper beer from the supermarket to drink at home.

Whatever happened to the days when you could pop into the pub on the way home from work for a quick pint and a packet of peanuts without spending a small fortune?

The saying ‘crying into your pint’ has never been quite as apt as now.
