I’ve been enjoying the iTunes festival this month.Every night there is another world-class performance online. You simply click, watch, then go to bed.
I loved a decade of ‘festivalling’, but it got to the point that sleeping in a swampy, toilet-less field with a drunken reveller snoring the width of a flysheet from my face was likely to end in some form of community service.
But I’m foxed as to why people at the live event bother filming performances on their phones? The quality stinks, illuminated phone screens are melting retinas and you can’t immerse yourself in the gig as you’re too busy trying to ‘frame-up’ the live show.
A simple solution; relish the live performance and buy a professional DVD later on eBay.
