There was a time when gents used foam and a bit of water

ZELLA COMPTON: Think hard: is it really worth going to uni?

Have your say

Those of you who watch The Apprentice would have seen local man Ricky Martin become Lord Sugar’s latest business partner.

And on the way to reaching the final you would have seen Ricky produce a luxury product range for the retail market.

The range was called Modern Gentlemen and included shaving cream, balm and moisturiser. To buy the complete range would have cost £26.

I doubt I spend that in a year on shaving. What’s wrong with a good bit of foam and a splash of water?

And don’t get me started on the latest male fashion of skinny jeans with turn-ups at the bottom.

What happened to men wearing a decent pair of 501’s and a Ben Sherman shirt?
