LESLEY KEATING: Bullying can blight young lives – teachers must act

Have your say

It’s time to dish out a lot of respect to Gosport Borough FC, the management and the fans.

Last Sunday was a fantastic day at Wembley, despite the result against Cambridge United.

The chasm in leagues between the sides meant Boro were on the end of a 4-0 defeat.

Humility is such an important part of sport – respecting your opposition, appreciating your team-mates and valuing the game itself. Gosport delivered that in spades.

Considering the players ply everyday trades such as cabinetmaker and teacher and some were ‘between jobs’, their attitude to the club and the day was consummate.

They gave fans the greatest day in the club’s history.
