The cruise market in the UK gets bigger and bigger.

In 2015 two huge brand new ships will sail from Southampton. Both are full of amazing facilities, restaurants and entertainment and the only downside is their looks. They are ugly!

P&O’s Britannia and Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas are just floating hotel blocks. As they pass, we’re in awe of their size, but not their appearance.

These days cars have to look great, so do new buildings. So why not ships?

Aesthetics capture the imagination, a dream, an ideal.

Sadly these new ships look like they’ve been designed by a five-year-old. Thank goodness we still have Oriana.
