I won’t be taking the family to London over the holidays to see Damien Hirst’s show at Tate Modern.

I am pretty sure that they would find it fascinating, and it would open their minds to the possibilities of...

And now I am not sure what to type.

What I want to say is cash-making.

After all, a plastic skull is apparently selling in the gift shop for around £36,000.

But everyone slams Hirst for his lack of talent, his subject matter and his prices.

So I think I will settle for saying that it would open their eyes to the possibilities of what art can be.

But I’m afraid my children are just going to have to discover that on their own as I don’t really want flies or pickled predators in my house.
