Last weekend I saw the most wonderful piece of theatre at The Spring in Havant.
It was Shakespeare and, like many before me, I tried to hide my discomfort when I was sent the complimentary ticket.
I don’t mind a bit of the bard, but on a Friday night?
Yet Pocket Dream by Propeller Theatre was the best piece of Shakespeare that I’ve ever seen – and I’ve seen more than my fair share.
I couldn’t stop grinning from the first moment until the last.
This time I finally got why the play is funny – it’s not the writing, it’s the way the actors play the writing.
Seriously, if you ever get the chance to see Propeller in action, grab the opportunity with both hands and don’t let it go.
