Thrills in store as Cheryl Cole returns to X Factor as judge

The UK has sent more than 4m in aid to dictator Kim Jong-un's North Korea in the past six years

CLIVE SMITH: It’s time to get our priorities right and put our country first

Have your say

I was thrilled by the news this week that Cheryl Cole is returning to The X Factor.

It wasn’t so much that I thought the show needed her back, it was more the fact I was thrilled that we’re going to see the antics between Cheryl and Simon Cowell, who is also set to make his comeback to the ITV show this year.

She seems to be the only celebrity who really gives back as good as she gets and I admire that in a woman.

I love Chezza – who doesn’t? After having a break from the spotlight for the past year or so, it will be a fantastic comeback gig and the pay packet isn’t bad either – a reported £1.5m.

I’d forgive Simon for any wrong-doings too if he offered to pay me even a quarter of that!
