It felt a bit like grovelling to be honest. ‘We know you’re going to struggle. Sorry and all that. Please come and buy your groceries when we’re done.’
Time will tell how bad the hold-ups will be while the work is going on and whether the plans will free up this troublesome bottleneck.
But one thing’s for sure. Many of us travelling to and from Gosport each day will be looking to spend a summer in hibernation.
