Last week I got the chance to chat to an author from Hayling Island.
Pauline Rowson writes detective novels and, as someone who grew up with a voracious appetite for books, it’s a genre I love.
Pauline was telling me about CSI Portsmouth, where real-life detectives will be joined by experts to talk about how they catch bad guys.
It reminds me of the time a forensic scientist friend of mine told me she got the best score in her university class for hiding a freshly-made grave.
Luckily for us she is on the side of the angels!
I for one can’t wait for CSI Portsmouth, though I have to as it’s not until November 2.
It’s part of the city’s BookFest, which as a BookGeek I’m also looking forward to.
