Turkey with all the trimmings but I’ll pass on the sprouts

Waking up on Christmas morning to the aroma of turkey and stuffing wafting in the air and my mother sitting at the kitchen table peeling vegetables while sat cross-legged in the lounge among the discarded wrapping paper, tucking into a mountain of selection boxes are some of my fondest memories along with Watching The Wizard of Oz and lusting after Dorothy’s ruby slippers (still do!)

Although those days have passed, I always look forward to sitting down for a feast fit for a King.

Because if there is anything worth waiting 364 days of the year for it’s a big Christmas dinner.

However, even after all these years I still pass on the sprouts because rest-assured the windy city is not that pretty.
