The European elections tomorrow will finally reveal whether we need to start thinking seriously about UKIP – and what we can do to prevent its rise.
I worry that UKIP is here to stay. I see people supporting the party by putting up posters in their homes, even though the members and their party leader seem to make more and more ludicrous statements.
I’m sure that many UKIP candidates are quite sane. It’s the minority which terrify me, the ones who appear to be anti-everyone but middle-aged heterosexual white men.
I’m frightened of the world that my children could grow up in if we don’t all make sure we use our votes – and use them wisely.
To me, voting UKIP as a protest is not an option. Ignoring it definitely is.
