Have your say

JK Rowling has fallen off the ‘billionaire’s club’ list this year, according to Forbes magazine which spends time looking at the seriously wealthy so us mere mortals can oooh and aaaah.

Apparently JK only has around £640m left in the bank and the reason she’s dropped out of the club is because of all the money she’s given to charity – and the taxman.

I still think the woman is awesome. She’s opened up reading for a generation, fired imaginations and paved the way for hundreds of other children’s authors to get taken seriously.

And she gives to charity as well. So what if she’s down to £640m?

Let’s have the good grace to admire her talent and altruism and not give a second thought to her shrinking bank balance.
