We want to come together - we just need a good excuse

RICK JACKSON: Why aren’t we on the streets protesting about Brexit?

Have your say

It was Gosport’s sixth Big Day Out last weekend.

Oh, how I wish it was like that in Gosport every day.

The weather was superb and there was such a buzz as people thronged, yes thronged, venues such as Stanley Park and Grange Farm.

It reminded me of being in London with all the excitement and potential for surprise, but obviously without all the famous buildings.

It’s not often that I get that kind of buzz in Gosport, but it makes me wonder if we should be putting on events in Stanley Park every weekend that the sun is shining.

Judging by the numbers that came out at the weekend, our community obviously wants to come together. So is it that we just need an excuse to do it?
