What a pity that Katie and Peter didn’t stay together

Have your say

I have a confession to make. My eyes glazed over when I heard the news that Katie Price had split up with her hubby of seven months after he reportedly had an affair with one of her best friends.

Builder and part-time stripper Kieran Hayler is now apparently begging for forgiveness, taking to Twitter to plead with pregnant Ms Price to take him back.

Meanwhile messages on the social networking site that have been posted by Ms Price suggest a reconciliation is not out of the question.

What I can’t believe is how Katie didn’t pick up on anything, especially when she has cameras installed all over the house.

It’s been claimed that even some of her other mates had noticed the flirting between the pair. How come she never knew?

Although I’ve never really been a big fan of Ms Price (except for her equestrian clothing range – I mean, what horsey girl can say no to a bright pink hoodie with the letters KP emblazoned across it and a pair of luminous fuschia jodphurs?), I do have a certain amount of sympathy for her.

She seems to be a bit of a lost soul and let down by people around her.

As a businesswoman she comes across as steely and unbreakable.

But when it comes to her love life she’s not been so successful.

Ever since she split from Peter Andre a few years back, she doesn’t seem to have found the right person.

It’s the children I feel most sorry for though.

She now has four kids with another on the way and appears to be in competition with certain other ‘celebrity’ mums to see who can have the most children by different fathers.

A word of advice, Katie. Take some time out.

She never seems to be single for long and in her haste to be part of the perfect relationship she either falls in ‘love’ or gets spliced to the first man who shows her any interest.

As a result I think she ends up with the wrong kind of guys – with the exception of Peter, who comes across as a lovely man.

What a shame they couldn’t have stayed together.
