Why create such a massive mango in the first place?

A giant mango has disappeared in Australia – weighing in at 10 tonnes, and with a height of 30 feet it was a tourist attraction in the town of Bowen.

There is some debate about whether the mango has disappeared as part of a publicity stunt (which has worked if it is one) or because it’s genuinely been stolen, as it’s said to be worth around £50,000.

But seriously, who would want a mango that big?

I should also mention that it’s a fake mango, as all us mango lovers will know that no mango could survive since 2002 (when it was erected) without imploding into a squishy mess.

What would one do though, with such a giant monstrosity?

And, to be honest, why would you create one in the first place?
