Will I have the confidence to wear my red shoes again?

The drivers' dispute might be over, but at what cost?

CLIVE SMITH: The dressing-up corner is now no longer safe from the PC brigade

Have your say

I’ve bought some red shoes in TK Maxx. You know the ones, don’t you?

When something is such a bargain you just have to go for it, even though your husband thinks they make your feet look a little, well, Scandinavian.

What would he know? He’s a Canadian. But it turns out this once that he’s got a point.right.

Meanwhile others have made comments such as ‘you’ve matched your scarf and your shoes’ or ‘look it’s the Wizard of Oz’. I’ve even had people making clown noises as I passed by.

You might wonder what clown noises are, but you’d know them if they were directed at your footwear.

Now the reds are under the bed. The question is will I have the confidence to wear them again?
