Women have to cover up, so why not men in rude shirts?

Portsmouth delivers yet again with the GSR

One of the delights of our honeymoon has been Venice. As our ship sailed to the port, we passed just yards in front of St Mark’s Square. Truly stunning.

With bridges crossing canals, water taxis pass underneath you. As you look down from a bridge as yet another gondola pulls away, you can tell the passengers are Brits as cries of ‘just one Cornetto’ ring out!

But I found really surprising, during the tour around the Catholic cathedral, was women being asked to cover up shoulders and knees.

As Sarah bought two oversized napkins, it seemed strange to see men with obscene messages on their t-shirts who were not asked to cover up.
