Have your say

They are the lights fantastic – and we’re looking for the best Christmas display in the area.

Hundreds of homes are already festooned with Christmas lights in celebration of the approaching holiday, and we want to help everyone enjoy them by featuring as many as possible on our website portsmouth.co.uk

So we’re asking proud householders to send us a short video burst of their lights – and putting themselves in the running for a super seasonal prize.

The lights judged the most festive by Mark Waldron, editor of The News, will win that household a family ticket to Sleeping Beauty, the pantomime starring Daniella Westbrook at The Kings Theatre in Southsea.

So please don’t delay in sending in your entry. We’ll show each on our website in a video feature we hope will grow and grow as entries flood in.

Please ensure that your video is no more than 15 seconds long. If possible, stand in a position where the whole display is visible in the frame and keep the camera as still as possible rather than pan around – we want to see the front of the house in all its glory!

And don’t forget to include your contact details – name, full address and telephone number – to be in with a chance of winning the prize.

Please e-mail you .mp4 video clip to digital@thenews.co.uk and remember that the closing date is Friday, December 20.
