I AM pleased to announce that tomorrow we will be celebrating the reopening of our track with an audience of serious karters.

It’s part of a massive expansion plan: from nine to 16 state-of-the-art tracks across the country by 2016.

Our relaunch sees new karts costing £6,000 each. These full size 200cc, 6.5 horsepower petrol karts reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. This is five miles an hour faster than the old ones, which, at just two inches off the floor, can feel like twice that!

They’re also bigger than the previous karts and look even meaner than before.

The 450m track, with its long straights, sweeping bends and challenging hairpins means drivers can squeeze the optimum speed from their karts – and feel the ultimate grand prix buzz.

The track now runs in the opposite direction, so even old hands can experience new thrills.

Precision electronic timing systems, plus smart new fire-retardant racing suits and helmets are also part of the deal. Friends, family and colleagues can watch the action trackside, from high seats with views across the circuit.

Facilities also include a pre-race briefing room and a newly refurbished snack bar.

Karting is the most driving fun you can have off the pro circuit. Our track provides the best facilities for any wannabe racing drivers.

Many Formula 1 drivers started their careers this way – and I’m told that drivers such as Michael Schumacher and Jensen Button all still kart regularly.

If you fancy giving it a go, and are over eight years old, get in touch.
