THE South Downs Society has organised a programme of walks to mark European Car Free Day.

They will range from four to 13 miles and take place on the week beginning September 22.

Bosham, Devil’s Dyke and the River Adur will all feature in the different walks, which aim to get people out of their cars for a few hours to reduce harmful emissions.

To book a place, or to find out more information, call the South Downs Society office on 01798 875073 or go to southdownssociety.org.uk.
