Overseas beers will be on offer at 17-day festival at local pubs

BEERS flavoured with ginger, honey and toffee are among a selection on sale at 12 pubs in and around Portsmouth during a 17-day festival.

Beers from New Zealand, the USA, Austria, Belgium and Italy will be on offer at Wetherspoons pubs from October 17 to November 2.

Five of the international beers are being brewed by women, with two beers from women brewers in the UK.

Participating pubs are The Isambard Kingdom Brunel in Guildhall Walk, The John Jacques in Fratton Road, The Sir John Baker and The Trafalgar in London Road, The Sir Alec Rose in Port Solent, The First Post in Cosham High Street and The Lord Arthur Lee and The Crown Inn in West Street, Fareham.

The Star in Gosport High Street, The Parchment Makers in Park Road North, Havant, The Lord Palmerston in Palmerston Road, Southsea and The Denmead Queen in London Road, Waterlooville, are also taking part.
