WORKSHOPS celebrating Gunwharf Quays’ naval heritage entertained children during half-term.

The Dive and Seek sessions offered a variety of craft activities, including making marionette puppets, ancient maps, and creating props for a show that took place on Friday.

The workshops were held in the central square at Gunwharf Quays and culminated in a fireworks show.

Mum Helen Evans, 37, of Anthill Close, Denmead, took her son Alex, nine, and daughter Sophie, six.

Helen said: ‘We made a trip down because it was recommended to us and we had a fantastic day.

‘The children enjoyed making maps and pirate people.’
