A CHARITY helping disabled people take part in sports will receive a funding boost after teaming up with a business centre.

The Gosport and District Sports Association for the Disabled (GADSAD) has joined forces with the Gosport Business Centre to help with its fundraising efforts.

The business centre has chosen the group as its nominated charity for this financial year.

Now any money GADSAD raises will be matched by the company, up to the value of £10,000.

Andrew Weston, the centre manager at the Gosport Business Centre, said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting GADSAD this year because they do such a wonderful job for disabled people in the area.

‘I look forward to planning the year’s fundraising activities and I’m sure we will have lots of fun working together.’

GADSAD runs social and sports activities for disabled people in the Gosport area.

David Chamberlain, the president of GADSAD, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted Gosport Business Centre has chosen us.

‘The potential to double all of the money we raise through fundraising is a huge bonus that will help us improve the facilities for all of our members and other groups that also use our services.’
