PARAMEDICS took a Hayling Ferry passenger to hospital after it ran out of control and hit a pontoon.

The throttle cable snapped on the ferry as it made its way across to Eastney at 11.30am today.

Tina Edwards, who runs the family firm, confirmed one person was taken to hospital suffering from shock, but was not physically injured.
