IT was dubbed the world’s most expensive pasty – now this one has sold for £150 on eBay.

And it was all for a good cause as baker Rich Shaw will donate the money to The Rowans Hospice, a charity that helps improve the lives of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

The pasty, which contains ingredients flown from all around the world including highly-prized wagyu meat from Japan, was created for the World Pasty Championships and earned Rich the title of fourth best pasty maker in the world.

On his return from the competition, Rich, 33, offered to make an extra one for charity.

After a week on eBay, the top bidder was Chris Puttock, who paid £150 and stopped by Rich’s shop, Southwick Village Stores, to collect his winning lot yesterday.
