Pedestrian in hospital with serious head injury after crash with car

A protest took place in Portsmouth on Valentine's Day against �9m cuts being proposed by Portsmouth City Council.
The three council trade unions, Unison, Unite and GMB are working together to oppose the budget cuts.

A MAN remains in hospital with a serious head injury after a crash.

The 37-year-old man was walking in the Station Road area of Portsmouth when he was in collision with a car.

The incident happened at about 11.20pm on Easter Sunday.

A police spokesman said: ‘The Astra left the scene but was later recovered locally.

‘We are appealing for information.’ Call 101.
