A MAN who appeared to dive from a balcony at Portsmouth Guildhall is in a critical but stable condition.

The 21-year-old Southsea man fell 20ft from the circle into the stalls at a concert as music fans were watching American rock band A Day to Remember on Wednesday evening.

It comes as The Portsmouth Cultural Trust which manages the Guildhall say they have been advised by police that they are satisfied with the initial response by staff, security and medics on the night.

Police are not pursuing a criminal investigation.

The Trust is conducting their own internal investigation which is standard procedure following any serious incident.
